Im i right in thinking the s14 nissan calipers from a 200 sx fit a 205?

Wondering as this could be a cheap upgrade :)

no idea whats involved and cant find much about how its done.

Any pointers anyone?

info if it helps - steel 4 pot calipers 200sx s14a. the distance between centre of the bolt hole on caliper to the other bolt hole is 10cm, approx 4 inches

I would get discs on the rear before you upgrade the fronts to big calipers

I wouldn't bother, drums are great.

Got to agree with Mei, I have never found drums to be underpowered on mine.

the 266 front and oem tiny drums on the back combo on mine never seems to not be able to lock the wheels... good enough for me tbh

Skyline calipers have been, (that lovely white track car IIRC) But in any case a mounting bracket will need to be fabricated to fit them.

If you're fabricating mounting brackets just fit a set of Lotus Elise / VX220 calipers - Mmm.. 1.1kg each. ^_^

As opposed to cast iron(?) 4 post which will weigh 2.7 metric f***loads.

Which ever you chose, make sure they fit under the speedlines if you are intending to keep them. GTi6 calipers have minimal clearance, so anything bigger and you will need to change to an aftermarket wheel with more room.

I'm pretty sure 200sx brakes are cast iron, yes. A mate has a Nissan Cefiro and they have the 200sx caliper from the factory but his have been replaced with 300zx calipers which are apparently the same as (or very similar to) 200sx ones but in alloy.
