1.9Gti O/s Window Works One Way Only

bought my car few weeks ago and the o/s window goes down but wont go up. ive swapped the switches from drivers side that works and still the same .. any ideas would really help!!

Sounds like switch wiring. The passenger side depends on good wiring on the drivers side. Try reversing the switch on the passengers side and see if it goes up and not down
