Fibre Glass Bonnet

I think they are the version the you bond on to the existing support frame as a replacement for the original skin. As such, I don't think you could use it by itself as would flex for too much, there doesn't look to be any support structure underneath.

 

I could be wrong though ;)

Looks like 6 bonnet pins in need at least... 4 along the front, 2 at the window side, and sod the support lol

Would imagine it would have a fair amount of play in it though, looks very thin......

last time i had something similar I fibreglassed a plastic tube across the front to help limit bonnet lift.

More than likely but I recon it would look menacing with 4 along the front lmao :lol:

I know it will flex quit abit just wanted to know if anyone had brought one of these prticular ones because I dont know how much it will flex till its to late im not woried about puting loads of pins in it the cars not an oil painting any way ;-)

If you don't want to do the full bonnet 'internals', take just the front section as it'll give you support for the bonnet pins and also stop any flex. Could also do the back corners and keep the hinges?

I doubt the fiberglass would be a mint finish - would probably require a similar amount of prep as a non A1 auto bonnet to get it perfect.
