Twin 40's Manifold Quest

Recommended Posts

Frede

Hi there, I've been trying to find a custom manifold to fit a pair of dhla twin 40's to my tu3s. The other option would be to have one custom made...does anybody know of somewhere that makes custom manifolds and what sort of price range I would be looking at. Or if anyone has or knows of a manifold to fit...

I have been looking for a power increase for sometime now, and would like to go down the 'twin route' if possible before looking at cams as an option.

Thanks

Chadil do them I think. They cost around the £200 mark.

Hope that helps :)

Agh thanks for that, great help...are there any cheaper options that you know of? I was hoping to get one for nearer the £150 or under mark? Different fabricators etc. Thanks Fred

Stick with Chadli, I've seen the manifolds from Bogg's and they are well.

that looks ace! not a bad price when you look at what includes, everything bar injectors ecu and airbox, its not just an inlet! though that particular one is for a 106 TU5J4 kitcar.

You need to look on this page, http://chadil.be/en/...filter0=PEUGEOT

http://chadil.be/en/node/231 that one looks good, but don't know if its the correct one for you. probably looking at about 220 to 280 euros, (220 euro's is roughly £175 at the moment)

Just had a look on the chadil website and they have the aluminium spacers ("Brides") that fit between the inlet manifold and the webers on the TU24 engine which replace the original rubber ones. Would these result in vibration in the carbs that would froth up the fuel?

Alternatively does the Tu3 2/4 inlet manifold they show fit a TU24 engine and do away with the rubber spacers completely. I know I could e-mail them, but I've given up on French tuing firms as they rerely if ever respond to e-mails from England :(

It does away with the rubber spacers but looks like it is for a standard TU3 head as you can see four upper mounting studs whereas the TU24 head only has three.

They work fine. I have something similar fitted to my rallye. You use the standard dcoe mounting kit with the vibration rubbers mounted on the stud. They are a better match to the ports too

Well, I take back my comments about the French and the Belgians! I ordered the solid carb mounts from Chadil and they arrived within 3 working days, they responded quickly to e-mails and were flexible on pricing:) Also ordered a driveshaft from Mister Auto (French) and despite having terrible internet reviews the service was again superb, two days from ordering to delivery - that beats the 5 year estimated delivery time from Peugeot!

Misab plates and rubber bushes as recommended by Christopher were ordered from Fastroadcars (Wales) and they also arrived within two days, so that's a thumbs up for the Welsh too.
