Just seen this on another site (maybe you've seen it before).

Now we've all had the "yes sir already have you details" when we've been looking at insurances, and it turns out X is a sister comapny of Y.

But how far does it go??

And what about those "assumed" independant comparison websites????

Read on .......

I recently insured my Discovery through Admiral and at the same time the guy could also see the details used through other search engines plus the quotes given by their other companies. What I will say is that anyone using the web to obtain quotes especially comparrision web sites is you should definately phone them just to confirm the details have filtered through correctly. In my case when I used the drop down as having two fault claims in the last three years it was ignored as ticked having max no claims as having protected them in the past hence why the quote was approximately £35 cheaper through one than the other. Also had I have just bought online technically I would have be un-insured even though I had done nothing wrong other than not read the policy details afterwards.

Seems like and old piece. No mention of Privilege and Prudential being under the RBS banner. Last time i looked at my info at work RBS had around 70 brand names, Churchill and Direct Line being the biggest.

Fortis has also changed names to Ageas and now underwrites tesco policies not RBS anymore.
