Recommended Posts

Can't put link up on my I-phone but noticed on the website they are shutting down.

Just ordered a spare set of plates for my lsd for the future.

Quite a few people leaving, more than likely setting up on there own!

I could do with knowing who is going to take on their servicing work in the future.

If someone buys a set of plates are you up for lending them me to draw up and spec? I'll then look into getting them made, it is OK at the moment, but in a few years time we could all be knackered when the Tran-x stock dries up.

The Peugeot BE plate kit is £93.60. What's the

PUG INT PLATE (10135 MOD)?

Nothing else worth grabbing?

I spoke to them today, apparantly it's just normally the plates that wear and nothing much else, did say only a couple of times diffs have needed new gears but hardly ever.

So I've ordered 45/45 lightweight.

Tom you can have mine when they turn up

Quite a few people will be able to do this I reckon, there's an ex employee allready set up on his own a few years ago.

I'm not over concerned about the plates as I would imagine gripper or someone can easily run off a batch. Gears and casings on the other hand may prove a bit more difficult.

Tom, I've got a set of lightly worn plates on the shelf.

I've reserved one that I don't need now. If anyone wants one and is prepared to risk the lack of after sales support let me know. It will be 25% off list.

Which company will people be using for their diffs now then?

If you can't get spares and you need another make,I'd say Gripper or Kazz(never tried them).

As Matt says I'd go for a gripper, I have one in my 309 and I prefer to the tran-x in my 205. Greater adjustability, cheaper parts and better customer service :)

Bugger, I'd got them looking at a diff for the buggy after gripper pissed off with my spare diff and then would never answer phonecalls/emails.

Ah well, try again.

Good thing is the old Staff are opening up something else, So my worst nightmare of dealing with Quaife looks to be a thing of the past

I doubt they will be doing played diffs though if they sold the technology to quaife

Yes they will be, Even had a email from them about it. Nothing stopping them from doing it (Unless under contract when finished) but make the design different and no problems, Just look at Gripper and Kaaz

are the plated ones really so much better than a maintenance free quaife? I was really impressed with the quaife though it did snake from time to time under hard acceleration, does the plated diff stop that hapening?

You have a search and having borrowed a ATB diff I would have been very **** off if I had spent that amount of money on something which I think doesn't work, Only plus is that it's stronger than a std Diff, but you could say if Quaife thought ATB where the dog's why would they buy Tran X tooling

Always funny when this question pops up on the rally forum I go on.People use there old ATB's as paper weights and someone else uses it as a door stop lol
