There's nothing really DIY about all that. In fact it highlights why almost everyone would never bother to powder coat DIY.

what does the electric charge do if it can just fall off with vibration shock? is it just static electricity holding the powder on before its baked?

I work at a place doing powder coating and his setup is hardly diy. We use better machines though that electrostatically charges the powder particles.

Its probably more cost effective to get a batch of parts done at your local powder coater.

Powder coating isn't really the best for corrosion resistance and your money would be better spent getting a 2k spray set up. Then you can 2k epoxy primer it all, which will last a long time.
