Ma Rallye Linkages

Recommended Posts

MattCoggins

Ive currently got the gearbox out of my Rallye.

I want to change the gear linkages to hopefully get rid off the slop.

Ive looked on Ebay and can only find kits that have 2 rods... I need three!

Ive measured the rods, they are 4 inch, 13 inch and the one from the gear lever to the sub frame is roughly 28 inch (i couldnt be arsed getting under the car to measure it accurately)

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Cheers Matt

Lan

check the balljoint on the subframe is tight too that can add tons of slop if its loose, and just go to miles for some good metal linkages

Yep; three linkages.

With respect to the updated sets from Miles you can either go for the ones that clip over the standard balls on the L-shaped bracket and the levers on the box, or you can got for the rose jointed which requires grinding off the balls and drilling a few holes so that you can bolt the rose joints in place.

The former type includes a clip, similar to an R-clip, that passes through the cup once the ball is in and prevents the rods popping off.

Come on Miles, how much are you looking at for some 205 LHD Rallye linkages?

I purchased my linkages from Pugracing almost two years ago now.

I've had no problems with them, they tightened up the slack and just require greasing up the main selector linkage (underneath the car) once or twice a Year.

Well worth the money in my opinion!

EDIT**

I also use the BBM Grp N engine and gearbox mounts, along with a quick shift kit and gearbox stabilizer bar from Ti Motorsport. All of these transformed the way the car felt!
