Door Drop Trouble.

Recommended Posts

As above. However, there is not an obvious reason. The drivers door is about 20 mm lowner than it should be. I get slight wind noise over 40 mph and the bottom of the door is starting to rub.

I automatically thought it was the door pins and got some to replace. However, once I had a closer look the old pins look fine and there is no movement when I try to lift the door up and down.

What could be the problem and how can I fix?

20mm? surely the door wouldnt even close if it had dropped that low? As well as bent hinges which is usually caused by pushing the car on your own and leaning on it possiby (just me then lol) check that the pillars arent cracked around the back of the hinges as well i had this on my 605 for same reason i just mentioned heh

The holes that the pins go through may have ovalled (is that a word?).

Slo. Your right. It's more like 4mm, there is slight scrape on the door step.

I'll have another look in the daylight.
