306 Gti Calipers Onto 205 1.9- Brake Hose Length

Recommended Posts

Gents

As title I've a set of 306 GTI calipers to put on a 205 1900. The standard brake flexi i know is too short at 440mm.

I'm going to have some made up, does anyone know how much longer they will need to be to suit the 306 calipers?

If not I'll just have to offer up the calipers and then judge the extra length.

Thanks

Tom

Yes and no, I know they need to be longer but by how much is the elusive answer! Looking roughly at the pic I would guess at around 520mm OA length, but I'll have to offer them up to the car to double check.

The correct one's in the pic were supplied by Miles... He'll know the answer to the question!! If i wasn't feeling rough as I do then I'd go and measure them now....

if you need 520mm a 306 hose is about right, VBH913, not the gti though as that's 541mm, VBH746.

standard 205 is 436mm, VBH495.

I had some made at 520mm end to end, this worked nicely.
