7 Seater To 8 Seater?

Hello All

 

I have a 7 seater Citroen Synergie, Just wondering how I would get on swapping my 2 rear seats for the 3 seater bench seat that some came with. As far as I know it's just a straight swap but do I need to notify the DVLA as the car is registered as a 7 seater? I can't imagine the DVLA making it easy even though its a factory fit seat.

 

Any ideas?

i had a 406 estate that i converted to a 7 seater with all the factory bits[a bolt in conversion] and had a night mare with insurance.they classed it as a modification and wouldnt cover it without a engineers report. sent the log book to dvla and the first time they sent it back saying i had to take it to a testing station to be checked,well i didnt do this and sent it back about a month later and it came back as a 7 seater.never sorted the insurance as i sold it.
