Floor Mat Backing

Any one got any good ideas to repair the foam backing on floor mats

. It looks like there may have been a bit of water damage, and in some areas the foam backing has come away. Had a look at frosts, but couldnt see anything suitable unless I cover the whole back in white or black plasic dip?
