Were these fitted as standard to ph1? They're a different setup with what looks like a seperate parabola

yup, found on earlier cars, later ones tended to be a valeo unit with a full reflector.

When new the earlier ones were stamped with Valeo on the outside of the reflector but had Sev Marchal on the lense. Pretty sure this type ie metal and plastic ones were fitted to phase 1 and 1.5 cars and the later Valeo plastic ones fitted to phase 2's.

Afternoon,

 

I thought my O/S was a cheap aftermarket on as it looked different from the N/S, which was replaced with a Valeo unit in 2010 but it transpires that it is actually a Marchel Headlight in line with the photo above.

 

Think I will have to find a Marchel unit for the N/S....onto the wanted section soon.
