I feel your pain! I had to sell one of my old 205s after I'd had a shunt in it, the guy who picked it up lifted it onto a flatbed with a hydraulic arm, then instead of strapping it down, just forced the hydraulic arm down through the roof crushing it in place. I was mortified!!

I sold my old miami to a lad who planned to take out the interior and fill it with speakers and some crazy ICE install. Was a sad one.

If i'm selling a car I therefore no longer want it so I dont miss it. I've not been in the situation where I had to sell and didnt want to...

Like i was, it was such a nice example of a 205 needed a bit of work doing but it was going to be my project car

Unfortunately had to get rid as my mum was sick of it in her driveway (i moved out 4 years prev) and said if it wasnt gone she was going to get it scrapped!

I keep thinking of flogging mine, but the way 205 prices are going i'm worried i won't be able to pick one up in a couple of years because they'll be too expensive!

Thankfully never felt the need to sell the 205, I couldn't bear to part with it and at one point left it parked in a field for a year

I once sold a ph1.5 XS that was a cracking little car, bit shabby on the outside but drove amazingly, the guy who picked it up was going on to pick up a body kit for it :(:o

I was a big softy when I saw the state of mine (see 'is this terminal?') and I probably will be again if it becomes a cat B ....

I have pretty much decided to go RWD drive with my next car. I have been scared about going away from peugeot as I have had them for years now! BMW just bore me unless its an e30 m3! My friend has a Nissan 200sx S14 and I really like them. They are really easy to mod aswell and the feeling of drifting is such a good one :P

Cried when the black one went. Worst move I ever made. Replacec with a s*itbox BMW and celebrated when that went. Now have another 205 so no more crying like a big girly boy.

....but what about the reverse of this...can you explain the feeling of getting back into a good car, getting out of the urban metropolis and getting your foot down on the way home...grinning from ear to ear as you are hugged by that seat and the feeling of the power and the handling...

Hmmm, that's how! When I parted with my black 1.6 GTI (3/4 years ago approx) this was due to needing a car that I could tow with, use as a works van and also carry upto seven people, so bought my Dads old Discovery as my everyday car. Now the silly thing is I should have sold my 1.9 instead, as I got to dive it two years ago and it just could not quite put the same smile on my face. I still have the 1.9 but it just sits in the garage, and cannot get to it as my Goodwood sits outside the garage door with no engine or subframe.
