Rough Running

Hi

 

The 205 is running rough with an intermittent miss fire under load.

 

I have fitted a 4 branch manifold, moved the air filter behind the passenger head light and it has an after market filter.

 

Could it be running too lean/rich?

 

I guess the first port of call is to check the fuel/mixture?

 

Also, just out of interest if it was running too lean or rich, how would you adjust the fueling for this?

The only other thing I have just notice is that there is no hose from the throttle body to the distributor vacuum advance, not sure why but could this be adding to the problem?

 

If so, does anyone know the size of the hose needed?

Mines capped off presumably cos of the k&n air induction mod,so the timing is probably advanced a little to match. If i connect it up i lose loads of response and power. My pipes as thick as a pencil if it helps

Hi

 

I have connected up the vacuum advance and it seems to be making no difference.

 

I have recorded the car running, if anyone would mind having a listen I can email the file and see if it sounds right.
