Proton Satria Gti

Has anybody ever owned/driven or had any experiences with a proton satria GTi?

Its a car i have always liked and fancied owning at some stage but having owned a proton persona in the past the experience wasn't great!!Don't get me wrong the Mitsubishi engine was strong and reliable but the rest of the car looked as if it had been put together by a five year old!! Tidy Satria GTi's can be had now for not a lot of cash(Lotus engineered suspension,Recaro seats ets) but just wondered if i would be buying a lot of aggro!!Anybody got any feedback?

Very good cars and ultra reliable compared with French cars!

Good handling and Evo suspension bolts straight on,and Mitsubishi engine are bombproof, proven by the fact the top road rally boys use these now!

If you buy a car later than a X plate it with hav

e the APM ecu which will need swapping(if ur

bothered)for the Mitsi ecu from V-X plate cars

will give approx 5-6bhp and is a 10 min job.

Find yourself a Racelogic ECU for £150=7+bhp!
