Oil Delivery Pipes For Camshafts, Which Way Round?

Recommended Posts

macaroni

Yes, another stupid question...

While replacing my inlet cam, I took off the oil delivery galleries above the cams, but I can't now remember which way round it went!

Is the open end towards the flywheel, or timing belt?

Cheers,

Antony

Not sure what open-end you're talking about... Al ends are supposed to have 'nozzles' fitted leading into the cam bearings...

Willem, I meant the open end of the U shape the pipes form and going by your photo I got it right. Thanks very much.

ah... Should be really obvious as the drill for the centre 'plug' will not be machined into the last (in front in pic) cam-bearing cover

@ Petert:

Starting out with a '90 peugeot 205 1.1 TU1m powered shell it was still quite a lot of work ;)
