Are The Gti Seats Compatable With The Cti?

I am wanting to put a half leather seat into my CTI is it just a straight swap or is it more complex?

Front seats go straight in rear seats bolt in but the shoulders of each rear seat back rest butt out on the gti whereas on the cti the seat backs are more of a square shape because of the roof hinges and plastic trim covers. You can fit the gti back seats but you will have to take the seat backs apart and cut the frame/foam off where they butt out then put it back together and just fold the leather cover over best you can.

Front are a straight swap, back slightly more complex. The seat bases need the brackets from a CTI moved over (easy bolt on) the rear seat backs need to be taken apart the metal frame seat back has to be swapped over and a cut made in the seat back because the catch mechanism is lower on the CTi Yes, the foams are different on the back, but just means a little care folding the roof if you don't alter them (I haven't - just replaced the seat backs)
