I think Rippthrough should request a clean up of this thread. It's been ruined now.

Is it irritating when people hijack a thread to argue over petty issues? Hmm.. I must make a note of that.

I don't get the point of this thread?!

I also don't really see the need to go to the rear-most rear beam mounting points tbh. Although one of mine does, i'm happy with the design and it sits close to the shell(CC).

CC got a lot of stick in years gone by after they weren't completely welding all the way round the main-hoops adjoining tubes, since then they supposedly cleaned up their act.

^^^^Nice!

Main hoops have to be thicker now don't they for the MSA???

Yup, have been for a few years, 45mm iirc.

45mm x 2.5mm or 50mm x 2.0mm, but cage designs that were homologated under the old rules (i.e. Safety Devices) can get away with 38mm x 2.5mm.

Id say the roof bar is in the wrong way as it doesnt protect the drivers head in that first pic?

I don't get the point of this thread?!

Petert was just asking how the cage goes in on the feet, etc, for fitting, so I just stook a thread up with the feet in to show what I meant in case anyone else wanted to see.

Is it irritating when people hijack a thread to argue over petty issues? Hmm.. I must make a note of that.

Wait, is this the part where I throw all my toys out of the pram 'cause someone did a bit of light piss-taking?

Quick, let me find my dummy...

It is indeed, although you'll notice the pillars actually fit on yours, those went in the bin!

You must have had kittens when you saw this! Or is it ok because it's Sandy's work?

(I should probably add a little disclaimer: I'm not saying this is a bad thing, as I understand why it's been done, but it demonstrates my point very nicely)

Doesn't demonstrate any point at all, if you looked a bit closer you'd notice my main hoops sit behind the b-pillars too.

They press against the roof structure Cameron....you know, that bit where your head is that you don't want to come in.

As for that one Cybernck, looks like it'd do a nice job of folding up and trapping you in the car in a roll!

I can't work out how the hell somebody could stand back after making that and think it was a great job. Although I suppose if you really, really, really, really, wanted the dashboard...

Looks like somebody's nicked the handles out a disabled toilet, painted them red and stuck them in the car
