Where To Get Body Repair Panels?

Recommended Posts

Rob Turbo

After buying an MX5 that has more rust than good metal I was prepared to break it, but my dad has stepped in and told me he wants me to rebuild it, the extra rust isn't going to cost much extra to sort, it's not visible (floor and inner arch etc.) so a sheet will do the job, no need to buy repair panels.

The only place I've found so far for repair panels is ebay, beavers panels' website isn't working, hadrian panels have a poor selection for the MX5, there's mx5parts but they are bloody expensive!

I haven't been able to try my local 'factors yet, they're closed for easter bank holiday, I'll try there tomorrow at dinner time, in the meantime is there anywhere else I could try?

My best prices so far are £60 each for the complete outer sill and £60 each for the rear arch repair panel, I need a pair of wings as well but I'm going to try a local (ish) breakers that only does MX5's for a pair of second hand wings.

Thanks,

Rob

Try carz2 or Cleveland Panels, have used both in the past. Looks like the selection for MX-5s is not that brilliant.

Off the top of my head there isnt much panel wise available for the MX5 - hadrians did a few bits but they went bump around christmas and beavers bought from them.

SEL Imperial bought out hadrians and still stock a lot of their items but have ditched some of the slower moving lines.
