205 Gti 1.9 Rear Disc Beam 309 Gti

Im looking at buying a 205 gti rear disc beam for a price of £40 it has been in a barn for about 5-8 years the owner said but he isnt sure if its off a 309 gti or 205 gti, will it still fit my car and if so what sort of problems would i need to check the beam for, i had a quick look around it and found that the rear discs are seized up and that it will require new brake lines. Also how hard are these to fit.Cheers

Wrong section bud, needs to be under 'suspension'.

Anyway, a 309 beam is wider than a 205 beam (not sure how much wider). May need to trim the plastic arches to stop them scrubbing, that's if it's a 309 beam. See if the trailing arms move and if they do see if there's any play. For a beam like that I'd just strip and rebuild it.
