306 ones go in a fairly similar place but they are five to ten years older than a clio sport!

 

 

dont know if renault make their own seats, but I believe a company started by peugeot make peugeot seats.

thats weird, not a mileage related problem..?

 

My brother has a '02 172 with the half leather seats and not even the alcantara is showing that much wear and thats done over 100k now..

Those are additional equipment Recaros and apparently it's a well known issues, though I've not bothered to look further into it :P.

My brother had these Recaro's fitted to his Clio 197 F1, had only done about 15k when he got it and was already showing slight signs of wear to the fabric! shocking design, especially considering they are Recaro's!!

 

Also to put it into perspective i took a passenger ride in my friends fiesta RST a few weeks back with well over 100k on the clocks and the Recaro's he had in that were still in very good condition.

the bolster in my old 172 cup did this in the same place, not to this extent when i had it but by now i bet they've got alot worse
