Yeh it's a pain in the arse, will need a full respray, the roof is the only panel which isn't damaged. I think it was kids tbh.

I don't have any enemies at all, I'm not that sort of person!

:(

Is it going on the insurance?

if not I know a guy here that can sort it for you, but you're looking at about a grand for that kind of work at the least :(

I hope you've had the police round, there's sure to be plenty finger prints left from whoever did it.

The police won't come round unless there is a line of enquiry, there are no obvious fingerprints on the car (the car is a bit dirty/dusty so fingerprints would be obvious).

It's a bit of a bummer really and no doubt going to end up costing me a bomb! I will have to go through insurance as my excess is still less then the cost of repair, although by october I would have 3 years no claims which will be out the window by now :(

sounds like it may actually be worth paying to have it sprayed rather than letting the insurance company sort it as you'll be out of pocket even more due to losing the 3 years NCB, does mean you need to be able to get hold of the cash though.

Personally, I think that I'd be leaving it a while before doing anything - that looks targetted to me as opposed to a bit of casual vandalism, and my concern would be that as soon as you get it fixed they'll be back to do it again :(

^^ in my area a few years ago a gang went round slashing tyres, anyone who had theirs replaced found the new tyres had been done again the next night. Turns out it was kids who were 'bored'

And nobody saw anything? No paranoid neighbours with CCTV fitted that might just cover your drive?

After you've got it repaired, I'd think about getting something like this. Won't stop it happening again, but at least you'll have proof/evidence the next time.

Somebody has already said - as soon as I saw the damage I thought that it'd been done by (young) kids.

Absolute fcukers! witchhunt.gif

Agreed. I managed to piss a neighbour off in my street for just owning a van and parked in the road. I kept finding my mirrors clipped in etc with loads of room around them. Anyway, it was involved in a serious RTA at the same time on the motorway with the whole side swiped. 4k spent on insurance and once repaired it was keyed 24 hours later after returning outside my house on the repaired side by this person that had the hump with me, who i have no idea who it is, or has ever left messages or ever approached me.

Wankers.

Sorry to see this - that's awful mate

Those are really deep scratches what would they have used to do it? - would a key really be sharp enough?

You dont have any high visability clothing or a dark coat etc on show do you? A friend of mine's car was done like this, the police said it was targeted as it looked like an undercover cop car.

fcuking scum :(

Bastards. I had someone scratch their name into the bonnet on my 205, that was bad enough.

Did you not have a fall out with someone on here over fitting an engine or something? Just an idea.

sh!t the bed, just had a look at that!

as said that looks, in my eyes, like a targeted attacked, or at least not just somebody bored.

its a sh!tter cos paint ones of those things that is easily damaged but expensive to repair, you could take it to a smart repair place see if they can get some of it tidied up a bit without respraying the whole car?
