Double Throttle Return Spring

Hi

 

I will be competing this season with my 1.6 GTi in Hillclimbing.

 

I have read about needing to have a double return spring for the throttle , I guess so it does not get stuck on....

 

Has anyone done this to give me some ideas about where I could fit it?

 

The only mod I have made is moving the air filter behind the passenger side headlight.

This is only relevant if you are running carbs, if you have the standard set up or aftermarket throttlebodies then you are ok.

all the injection cars I've serviced on rallies have had the second spring.

I have a long spring attached back to the battery tray, got me through scrutiny all season, 5 min job.
