It bolts straight in but you need to modify the exhaust manifold for clearance.

You'll probably have issues with the master cylinder hitting the rocker cover too. You need to tilt the servo backwards and trim the timing belt cover as far as I know.

What driveshafts would i need

GTI shafts, depending on what hubs you'll be using, also depends if you use the 6 speed, if so you'll need to change the diff for a 205 BE3 item but maintain the GTI6 crownwheel.

Out of interest could you swap hubs to 306 items, and then run 306 driveshafts?

It's not a hub issue, but the length of the splines on the inner CV differing between early (205) and late (306/Xsara) diffs

There is plenty of info on GTi-6 engine conversion if you do a search, showing what you need, what issues you're liable to come across, and most other common questions.

dont forget to unlock the ECU, ingnition/or car runing, and unplug the ECU

if you no good with electrics, and loom can be found here

306 hubs give positve camber, so jsut stick with 1.9 hubs and drive shafts

tilt engine a little to fit, or modify the bulkhead (i done this way), or you can modify the exmanifold

tilt the servo on the pedal box, gives more clearance for the master cylinder

Thanks for replies guys it seems to be quite long. Winded to get it done sovmight have to sort parts and get a plan of action together

Just atm im having issues with driveshaft seals on a standard 205 1.9 ive replaced 2 seals gently on drivers side but still seems to leak am i right in thinking could not be driveshaft seal but it could be coming out of speedo cable input

Thanks for the help as a total newbie to 205s as came from subarus lol

could be either really

best to get under there, clean all the oil off and see where it's leaking from

a test (if your brave) put on axle stands put in second gear start the car up and let it run on tick over to get the wheels going,

get underneath and see if you can see it leaking

Remember that the driveshaft seals need to sit a little proud - if you put them in flush, they'll usually leak.
