Xu10J4Rs Stamp ?

Hi could someone please tell me what is stamped on gti 6 engines on the block lower of the exhaust side please ?? Thanks

As above, the block is stamped "J4R".

 

Also stamped "RS" on the head on the flywheel end.

Ahh thanks for confirming that for me guys, I picked an engine up last night and noticed this morning she's only stamper J4R. She has a RS head an manifolds but though maybe I had a differnt block :/. if I'm right the RS has oil jets on to the skirts of the pistons on the RS and the others havnt ?? Thanks again guys

not strictly true, some J4R engines did have the oil quirters and some didnt.
