Are People Missing The Point Worrying About Potential Resale?

Decreasing in value is not necessarily a monetary thing.....value is more than money. if you are an enthusiast who appreciates a good original example it's natural not to want to see the few remaining ones disappear. mine, however, ARE old cars that can be "bodged" (or inventively repaired - I prefer to call it) as cheap, entertaining transport - to me that is their appeal!! Believe me I couldn't afford to fix and maintain one boring, modern vehicle - with 205s i get to have more than one - and rotate them :D

I get people all the time telling me my Silver 205 must be worth loads but to me its the sentimental value now and no one can ever put a price on that and the more mag features, silver wear from shows and any other thing I do with my car makes it all worth it.I will never sell my silver 205 as it is part of the family now and something I brought to start the next chapter in my life, people on here that no me will no the reason for this.

I have just brought a topaz blue 205 for not a lot of money and I will drive that like a 205 should be drivein and there will be a 16 valve engine fitted some time this year and I all so own another 205 that is a non sunroof that is being built from a bare shell into something special.

I like 205s and would like a mint excample but i don't see the point of having one kept in cotton wool! As a rally driver i'd rather spend the money on my rally version and getting enjoyment by using it, some times to the extreme !
