Quaife Style Gear Knob

No, a 205 lever has a sort of ridge end to it, not a thread so the knob just pushes on. If you want to fit it you'll have to cut off the top bit and tap a thread onto it, will make it short though, here my extended (top and bottom) lever with said knob,

They don't fit on standard levers as Ali says, you need to tap a thread, and they're £10 postage! But; You can get a very similar nylon spun knob on egay in M10 or M12 fitting, black or white, much cheaper.

Think I've seen those ones, can the thread be tapped straight onto the lever or does it *have* to be cut down?

You could try, but ideally have to cut down a standard lever to where it's round again or add a bit on as they're pressed into a X-shape with knurling for the standard knob fitting.

checked before, it cost about GBP30-40 but it was some years ago

& they haven't made them for some time.

the local motor factors told me so too.

thanks anyway, but if anyone by any chance know where i can find one again, i wouldn't mind to pay a higher premium for one to own one.
