how can i tell if my ecu is motronic or jetronic, the numbers end 359 and its bosch

That's a 1.9 GTi (non-CAT) Jetronic ECU

If your car is a 1.6 or a non cat equipped 1.9 it'll be a Jetronic ecu.

 

All ecu numbers are listed on the forum somewhere.

 

1.6 ecu; Bosch 0 280 000 340

 

1.9 ecu; Bosch 0 280 000 359

 

1.9 motronic ecu; Bosch 0 261 200 160
