Gearbox Oil Leak

hi guys got a 1.9 gti think its 1.6 box well i changed the clutch and whilst i was there replaced genuine gearbox driveshaft oil seal as was leaking when i jacked it up. put it all together and it was fine couple days later it started to leak box oil out the new seal could this possibly be that i over filled the box ?

more likely that the seal wasn't fitted correctly or was damaged when fitting the new shaft.
