Maybe I Should Amend My Agreed Value!

Same as my car except this has 20000 fewer miles. Mine's in similarly good condition, has all the history and is only insured for £3500, so perhaps I should increase my agreed value?

Just read that I shouldn't be posting about ebay in the general section, sorry. Please can a mod either move it to the appropriate section or delete it altogether.

Thanks,

Dario

In all seriousness, I think you are quite right to review your agreed value.

I'm not entirely sure how much benefit it actually is in the event of a claim (that will really depend who the underwriter is), but it's certainly clear that the value of good, standard GTIs is on the up. Could you replace yours with a similarly low mileage, great condition, standard GTI for £3500 if yours was written off tomorrow? Perhaps. But you can already see a trend developing for these examples being offered at what we currently think of as silly prices, so the good, cheap ones are only going to get thinner on the ground.

Footman James agreed to insure my car for an agreed value of £5000.
