309 Driveshafts...

Recommended Posts

sambaileyw

Probably been asked before, and I have searched (sorry im useless)

Since im replacing the front suspension, bushes etc the lot basically was going to do the driveshafts where are people getting 309 length driveshafts from.. recon or new? anyone ever used the ab motorsport shafts?

Any information would be great

Thanks Sam

I have two sets of the AB ones; one set as a spare and the other set has done one event now. No issues with them whatsoever; I was trialling a first batch for Andy so when I did the event I kinda tried to give them as much grief as was sensible (without being silly). So far so good, no issues with them whatsoever. In fact, a nice feature on the set I've got is a retaining plate on the inner CV to stop the tripod pulling all the way out (never seen this on OE shafts, unless I've just been unlucky?).

If you want to avoid recons it's a good bet, and they're pretty good price-wise (for new shafts)...

yeh I thought they were fairly reasonable for new shafts, they look good just wondered what everyone else was doing.. im not going to rally on them might do some nav scats/12 car events with the car club but other than that just usual road use and some track when its ready

Re-con shafts are getting poorer and poorer so the AB ones are definetly worth a look.
