4 Pot Calipers, For Under 14" Wheels

Recommended Posts

matthewm

Looking at getting a set of competition 4 pots for the front of my 205, although due to tyre restrictions don't want to move up to 15" wheels.

Anyone found a good set up that will allow me to keep running 14" wheels?

Thanks

You can fit hispec 4pots under 14 rallye steels, have a look at the 106 rallye forums. Rallyeash on here with his 2.1 GTI6 205 ran them under 14's with custom brackets though.

Most hispecs are for under 15's so watch out though.

I've just put a set of Hi Spec 4 pots under my 15s, had to shim the calliper into the car by 2.5mm to centre it on the disk (their disks) and then even with 5mm spacers the wheels still clip the callipers and I don't want to have to space the wheels out any more, the wheels already scrubbed the arches before I started. They have been unable to tell me what wheels they will fit under so I'm sending them back tomorrow and now looking for something else.

pug/citroen Sport AP's fit, not cheap though, and need a custom bell for a standard rotor, which funnily enough comes from Hi-spec in the thread below.

Part numbers:

Caliper - CP5106 - 5S4:Peugeot (I think any CP5106 caliper would be the same)

Pads - Any CP3345 pad (from various makes inc EBC, Mintex, Pagid, Ferodo)

Hoses - standard

If you can find a set of Alcon calipers as used on 205 group 'A' rally cars, they will fit under 14" rims. ( They will, in fact, fit under certain 13" rims as well ).

Shimming Callipers is a pretty standard thing motorsport wise...
