Things To Do Before Fitting Coilovers

is there anything I should know before fitting my new gaz gha coilovers?

Im thinking things like

 

-protecting the threads?

-setting the approx ride height before installing?

-any do's and dont's for using coilovers?

-making sure they are the same height?

 

as this is the first ever brand new suspension I have ever had fitted to any of my cars, I want to make sure I look after it well!
