Excluding The 205, Whats Your Favorite Hot Hatch?

Just wondering what peoples favorite hot hatches are apart from the 205? Assuming 205 would be most peoples favorites?

 

I'm thinking m1 & 2 golf's, clio william's, clio sport's, 5 turbo's, uno turbo's, swift gti's, 106 and 306 gti's ect.

 

Or maybe some of the newer fatter hatchbacks?

You should take it anyway at that price. The rusted car can be sorted, they fetch a nice premium now so well worth some investment.

Another car i always wanted was a charade gtti, 3 cylinders, 12v and a turbo.

 

Also i think pulsar's and intergrale should be banned from any hot hatch list.

MK2 Fiestas XR2, owned 2, one black, one white, then went to the dark side and got a 205 XS, the rest is history. The 205 handles better imo.

 

The 306 GTI 6 is a close second i think.

Back on topic. Either mk1 20v turbo golf or a mk1 festa zetec would be my next choice after a 205

1988 309 gti with an mi16 on 45's and custom exhaust system

 

Properly sorted thing and a fine balance between under and oversteer.... Still sitting on my drive after 22 years.

I'v always found comparing the 205 gti to a 309 gti is like comparing angelina jolie to the elephant man. The elephant man's probably better then angelina in a lot of aspects but hes still got a load of extra bits that should'nt be there.

 

Then again id give a left testicle for a tidy goodwood.

323GTR has always been a favourite too, quirky! Really liked a Clio 16v i had years back, had many 309's & they handle great but although not quite as bad, like 306/Xsara's/Golf GTi's etc, compared to 205's are lardy.

 

Had a Mk1 Fiesta with a 1.6 CVH, a Mk2 XR2 and a Mk3 XR3, all very lack-lustre, never understood the following.
