Rear Caliper Rebuild Help Needed!

OK, am mid way through putting my calipers back together, and now I'm at a point where I'm stuck...

 

I've got to get the bar for the handbrake through the sleeve, with the little nugget thing to push the caliper piston out when the handbrake is pulled on.

 

How do I do this???

It sounds simple, but really it's not!! I've got to get the center bar down in order to get the handbrake lever bar over it, but that's a little easier said than done...

 

Any help would be great??

Is this what the cable ties are for??

large water pump pliers tis quite tricky but with practice it doesn't take long.

Just so I'm sure on what I'm getting, they're like pliers but step adjustable??

tis quite tricky

 

You're not bloody wrong it is!!!

 

Got there in the end though... One side done, next side getting stripped now and cleaned and rebuilt tomorrow...

dont forget to line up the slot with the notch next to it with the tab on the back of the pad.
