I have just brought a topaz blue 1.9 205, there car is listed on Ebay and piston-heads. I am just wondering if any one used to own it or have been to look at it??? The guy pretty much gave it to me for just over scrap value and its a cheap little smoker. Any help will be great and I will take some detailed photos over the next few days.

I saw this and it looked a good buy at £500 with engine failure, I think.

It was a bit of a strange one as it was up for £950 on Ebay and £750 on piston heads but all the photos were not that good and I payed alot less then £500 Ho ever was working on it new not a lot about 205's as it had a 1.6 air flow meter on it and they wondered why it didn't run right, only problem that it has got is it smokes a bit while driving but it don't smoke like it did before I put the right air flow meter on it as you couldn't see the road I don't no if the rings or oil seals are gone on it but im going to give it a oil change with thicker oil as they mite of put thin oil in it and the 205's I have had over the years don't like thin oil.

 

The inside of the car is mint just a shame its got the wrong seats but there not in bad nick and I have got a few sets of half leathers kicking about and the out side just needs a good polish and trim re die, the wheels have been sorted with new tyre's as well. it could become a little minter if I chose and it was brought to put one of my gti6 engines in.

To be perfectly honest i'm annoyed and jealous Nice purchase mate, original stereo too. Topaz is a great colour.

The funny thing is I don't even no why I brought it for just had money on the hip burning a hole in my trousers. It is just a shame the engine smokes loads but it drives lovely for the money. It will be a pretty little 1.9 with a recon 8 valve or one of my gti6 engines.
