Place For Mot In Eastbourne

Hello assorted members of the 205GTi Owners Forum - but specifically those in sunny Eastbourne!

 

My 205 has been SORNed in my in-laws' garage all winter and the MOT has run out. I now need to get it back moving again so I'm looking for a reliable place to MOT it in Eastbourne. It (was) in great condition and has passed every MOT with no problems whilst I've owned it, but I am a good customer of the place I use in Essex and they are reasonable if there is a bit of rust on the discs etc. I don't want to go somewhere and have it condemded for having a bit of surface corrosion on the brake pipes that a good jet wash would remove.

 

Anywhere - those that live in the coffin-dodger town of Eastbourne, do you know anywhere?

No idea about Eastbourne, but when you do book it in for a test, take it to the station "the long way round" and once warmed up try to drive it and use the brakes pretty hard, this should give the discs chance to clean up, and also get the engine properly up to temp and give it a good clear out for the emissions test.

Remember that there's no requirement to get it MOT'd locally - you could book it into your usual place in Essex and drive from Eastbourne to there for the MOT. The key point though is that it MUST be a pre-booked MOT.
