Power Steering Leaking With Mot Round The Corner

my power steering is leaking from the end of the rack,i have a replacement rack but dont have time to change it at the minute and the mot is in a couple of days.i thought that maybe i could drain the fluid clean it up and try takeing it for the mot.

will the rack be okay without fluid in the short term?

will it work?

will it beat the mot man?

If there is no fluid then it will (or rather, should) fail for the power steering system being U/S

Clean the fluid off just before you take it in if it don't leak at time of test it's not a fail and it has to drip to fail
