dave205 19 Posted March 5, 2012 After flgetting my turbo conversion running at last, ive found the heater matrix leaks! . Ive got a good spare but want to fit new seals where the matrix attachs to the aluminium pipes, so i have no further leaks. Problem is my local pug dealer ses there no longer available and i cant use o-rings as the originals are square in section not round. Any suggestions on were to buy something or what other people have done, as i dont want to have to do the job twice!!
welshpug 1,647 Posted March 5, 2012 you'll probably find that the originals are not square section, just that they have been in there so long and swelled up that they are square now.
chipstick 382 1 Cars Posted March 5, 2012 Replaced mine not long ago, and the seals that join the aluminium pipes were definately O shaped O rings.
Daxed 7 Posted March 5, 2012 (edited) The matrix kit (including pipes & seals) are very cheap now online. Have just replaced mine, due to the ends protruding into the engine bay deteriorating. Easy to change, leak free and nice and warm. Edited to add, the seals are round. Edited March 5, 2012 by Daxed
dave205 19 Posted March 5, 2012 I'll just get some o rings then! Ideal job!

chipstick 382 1 Cars Posted March 16, 2012 Carparts4less.co.uk.
Tom Fenton 1,536 Posted March 17, 2012 Pay the extra cash and buy from ECP. At least if there is a problem you can phone and speak to someone. I spent nearly a full day on and off trying to get through to caroarts4less, the w***ers won't answer the phone and talk to you, but use the stupid msn messenger thing and you get one right away, who then starts ignoring you when the questions get tricky. I will not bother with carparts4less again.
