As above really, i have one i want to test but dont have a running gti to try it on, so how can i test it?

connect it to a 12v supply & the pie slice gap inside should disappear after 5 - 10 minutes.

So it should go to fully closed? Will i need to fuse the suplly to it?

Yes, the pie section should move round so the gap is closed, I don't use a fuse, it isn't protected by one usually.

I tested it the other day and it fully closed so it must be working..
