Ignition Leads...

Im massively struggling to find the set that fit my car. The dizzy is on the end of the head? Only way i can explain it?

What engine etc have you got in your car?

 

My crystal ball isn't working right now but all XU engined dizzy's are on the end of the head.

Thanks for moving the thread noticed it was in the wrong place after submitting it! Its a 1600 and ive been told that theres a type with the dizzy/coil being in the inner wing? Ive been given 2 sets that both are wrong?

There are three sets of leads iirc, if not more.

 

What type of dizzy cap have you got, clip on or screw on, are the cap ends male or female & where is your coil?

Its the clip on. Im not to sure where the coil is i havent really looked. And if im not mistaken its a male dizzy. The lead goes over the cap?

Best to check & be certain so you an order the right set of leads, usually clip on dizzy caps have female leads iirc so the end of the lead goes into the cap.

My mind is still stuck on my old e30 and i keep mixing the 2 up. Hopefully ill find out tomorrow ill take my old leads with me incase! Thanks

Don't tell me....Halfrauds??? found out last week they only list the later type leads now for all GTis... for the clip on Dizzy cap, try asking for 1.6 auto (carb version) leads ;-)

I refuse to use that place as there a bunch of incompetent retards in my area. ill know within the next few hours i think they got it right now!
