The two going into reducer.... I know one comes from the breather/filler pot and I haven't trace the other one back yet,

but do I need them?

Cause I'm debating just getting a reducer cause the existing one has torn.

Yes you do - one is the breather, which strictly speaking you don't need and could be replaced with a catch tank, but the other is the feed to the SAD and that needs to come from there otherwise it will be drawing in unmetered air when it is open during cold start, which will in turn mess up the fuel mixture.

Just replace like with like.

Sick? No, I'm in fine health thankyou.

It is part of the K&N induction kit, and that particular bit is usually refered to as a (K&N) induction shortener

Why? Are you suffering from excessive oil through the breathers?

Not really... there is a wee bit of mayo build up. my main reason was because the breather inlet on the induction shortner had snapped and i didnt really want to buy a new one so i figured itd be easier just to block it off.

You could always swap the breather inlet over from a standard inlet hose.

When you say standard inlet hose I assume your talking about the one that went from the air box? If not I am lost.

What part has snapped, the breather hose from the cap or the spigot on the hose between the AFM & TB?

I mean use the spigot from an original induction hose if this is what's snapped.
