Just stopped working as I drove along. Any ideas? Fuse blown?

Headlights and indicators still work.

3rd fuse in from the left, 25a, only know as I had issues with it yesturday! You may want to trace the problem rather than just replacing it.

Also its the brake lights as well so get it sorted!

Top man.

Brake lights - that'll explain the random beeping of horns from cars behind in traffic then! Thought it must be something related.

Swapping fuses doesn't seem to be giving me any joy. Bollocks.

Actually yes it did (once I'd done it correctly!).

Discovered that flicking the cooling fan off (its on a manual switch rather than automatic) causes the stereo to cut out for a second. Switching it on has no effect but off it always stops the music!

Ok should have taken you're advice to trace the cause as its gone again now and blew the replacement fuse straight away too! Was fine for a few weeks initially. I haven't a clue how to go about tracing it. Any ideas as to what might be the cause?

Recommendations for auto electricians in Reading area would be handy too :)

Well its going to be a short some where, so something like some wiring has been crushed exposing bare metal, exposed connection etc etc. As you mentioned the manual fan switch has some sort of effect I would start there. You can also go around each component that the fuse feeds and unplug/disconnect each of them one by one seeing if it is still blowing in between, this will tell you which item has the short, thus which area you need to investigate!
