Recommended Posts

Yo,

Just wondering how you mount them with the brackets? Previosuly Ive just drilled holes into the winds etc and riveted them on.

Has anyone got any pictures?

I have searched.

I've riveted mine on and fit the full mudflap to go inside the wheel arch.

Quite a lot of people use cable ties to mount the mudflap to the bracket so that if the mudflap gets caught on something it rips the cable tie and doesn't bend all the wing whereas it would if bolted on to the bracket.

You can get purpose made alloy brackets. 0n my rally car i made the back ones out of flexi plastic angle so theres a bit of give if they catch on any thing. The front ones i have mounted straight to the wheel arch. This seems to work well even with the new thicker ones we now have to use !
