Interior Earth Problem

Right as some of you will be aware my car has some faults.

 

Rev counter doesn't work unless the heaters on full speed

Dash lights don't work

 

When I first got the car it was mentioned its probably a earth fault and I was thinking as the dash is out it would be the best time to investigate...

 

But what am I looking for considering I have no skills in this type of thing lol.??

get yourself a haynes manual and it should have the wiring diagrams that contain the earths to the instrument clusters, some people who have had the dash out may also be able to tell you where the instrument cluster earth lands.

 

I know there is an earth on the steering column.

Cheers lad this is the second time a Haynes would of been handy... Defiantly need to invest in one :/
