Sumpguard And Strutbrace

Recommended Posts

Had a search but nothings coming up.

Can you run a lower strut brace with a sumpguard?

And if so is there any advantage to doing it?

Not sure weather it is possible to use them both together.

However i had a lower strut brace on mine and did'nt really notice any advantage, just got in the way.

I ended up removing it in the end.

Depends on the sump guard. Most find if they do fit they're then close to each other and rub/rattle.

I'll run a top brace for now and then debate a lower one. Can't mount the guard till I go home next in early june lol. Lower ones seem easy ebough to make

I fitted a brace parallel to where the existing tube braces the rear of the frame. Hard use causes the tube to bend and rear ends of the frame to move inwards sending the geometry awry. Brace comprises a 1 inch square bar slotted and slid onto the lip of the frame and welded.

Also does not get in the way of the sumpguard.
