Anyone Bought/used These?...

Just having a look on the bay as I need some discs and pads for the 205 gti6 and came across these drilled and groved front and rear brake discs with mintex pads. Unsure what mintex pads they are but just seeing if anyone has bought these and/or has any feedback?.

having seen what happens to drilled discs (they tend to crack), and what grooved discs do to pads (wear them out bloody fast), I'd stick to standard smooth discs from my local motorfactor or ECP and gsf.

 

pads dont look to be anything special.

I ran standard motor factor discs with ferodo ds3000 pads on trackdays with no issues whatsoever

How much were the ds3000 pads?.

 

Currently got standard Delphi discs and pads on my 306 gti6 and there fairly good but would like to use the 205 for a few track days...

FDS1063 or FDS565 are the codes that fit the gti6 caliper.

ds2500 are also very good.

Mintex or Pagid I tend to use, Providing you use new disc's you can use the Clio pads in the 6 calliper

Mintex 1155 here and work well.

 

Used to run pagid blue's on my 4 pot brembo's on my old car. £240 a go which made me wince every time I needed some.

Right so I'm guessing mintex pads with standard discs?.

 

Do most of the drilled and grooved discs suffer somewhat?, from cracking and eating pads?, are there any real benefits?.
