309 Gti Drive Shaft Boot Kits

Hi

 

Iv had a look through service box and found a few part numbers for the 309/205 drive shaft boots.

 

2 axle set are listed as >

 

329359 XU ?

328765 XU ?

 

These are the 205 1.9 driveshaft gaiters part numbers which iv found are the same as the 309 GTi. I think my shafts are around the 1989 year. The wheel ends of the boots have one part number so thats all fine.

 

Do anyone know which of the above are the correct ones for what i need ?

GSF only do one of the two part numbers you quoted, don't remember there being any difference in 1.9 shafts other than the type of Hub nut used.

Height 100 mm, Inner Diameter 1 22 mm, Inner Diameter 2 75 mm

 

though for the 205 they only list one inner cv boot.

Height 97 mm, Inner Diameter 1 21 mm, Inner Diameter 2 75 mm

 

but check the cross reference and it goes back to the other one above.

Might be because the later long shaft had the inner baked bean tin style CVJ.

ah yes, have seen aftermarket 309 shafts like that, probably same as/similar to 1.6 inners if thats the case.

Yup, as i say some later OE ones were like that and GKN's.
