Where To Buy Jets?

Hi,

 

I put a pipercross foam induction kit on a little while ago,

which i bought second hand and it didn't come with bigger jets as some of them do.

I'm just curious whether theres a way to buy them seperately, as the engine could probably do with some, as it has a much larger air supply now?

Is there a kit of some kind perhaps?

So far I have looked but have not been able to find anything.

 

Also has anybody had any experience with twin weber 35's?

I was wondering if they gave any increased performance to a standard tu3/s engine?

as for increases using twin twin choke over a single carb, should see gains, though how much is difficult to say, though it would open up the scope for further tuning.

Oh thanks, i'll have a look.

Yeah I wasn't sure about the cost to upgrade ratio of the 35's...didn't even know even if they would be better than a solex 32/34 z2.

 

I've found a nice recondition one for sale, not too expensive...a lot cheaper than twin 40's (this being the main reason). But I still feel like it wouldn't be a good sacrifice.

 

Also what further tuning would it offer?

ive got a matched pair of dellorto dhla 40s jetted for a 1.4 that i'd be interested in selling, you'd just need a manifold to fit them

I had a look on that website and can't seem to find any jets to fit my twin choke solex...any other places I might look?

 

Also does anybody know if a dellorto 40's tu3/s manifold is the only manifold that would fit or are there other manifolds I could look for ie. ax gt...or 106?

oh right and would i exactly need a tu3 fitment manifold, or would another tu engine fitment work?

 

Also I've read that a lot of people go for custom manifolds is this the best way to go?

for the best rounded performance most definitely, most manifolds you find on the market are a compromise to fit this engine in as many vehicles as possible.

yeah i've been watching that one on ebay...thinking about putting a bid on, don't think i really have the money to go down the twin weber route though yet, after realising roughly how much they cost. cheers
